Donor health check

This probably sounds a lot worse than it actually is. Basically when you attend your donor session, it's standard procedure to whip through a quick questionnaire to see if you're suitable to give blood.

By showing you the questionnaire here, we're just giving you a guide as to what kind of questions you'll be asked.

Rachael

Rachael Walker, pictured above, feels that she owes her life to blood donors. Rachael has Sideroblastic Anaemia, which means her bone marrow cannot produce its own red cells, so she is completely dependant on transfusion. Since she was diagnosed at eighteen months old Rachael has received four units of blood every four weeks, and will continue to need them for the rest of her life.
