NHS Blood and Transplant celebrates the dedication of local volunteer
Dedicated volunteer Irene Webb from Newmarket was recognised by NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) for her commitment to blood donation and volunteering on Thursday 7 March 2013. There was a small buffet to mark the occasion and Mrs Webb was presented with a certificate, flowers and a cake at the blood donor session at Newmarket Leisure Centre in Newmarket

Save a Life for your New Year’s Resolution
People from Cambridge are being asked to consider saving a life or three for their New Year’s resolution by giving blood in 2013.
As the festive cheer leaves us and people ponder how to make the New Year better than the last, NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is challenging people to spare an hour of their time to donate blood. A mini bloodmobile session has been added on Thursday 3 January 2013.

Local donor gets recognised for over 50 years of donating blood
Retired teacher Margaret Whitworth, (68), from Bicknacre is being commended by NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) at 10.30am on Friday 21 September at NHSBT’s Brentwood Clinic in recognition of her 50 years of donating blood.

London blood donors honoured at awards ceremony
A total of 59 dedicated donors were shown just how vital they are to the community as they were rewarded for giving enough blood to save the lives of more than 16,000 people – enough to over fill the Riverbank Arena at the Olympic Park used for hockey at London 2012.
